Why choose  DHL?

  • The DHL Express network covers 92% of the economically significant areas of Brazil, which are clustered in the south and south-east of the country. It offers more international connections to and from this region than the competition.

  • DHL Express has three gateways in Brazil: Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo and Viracopos. This allows us to deliver faster to the final destination in Brazil than our competitors, who only have one gateway each.

  • The Viracopos Gateway, opened in 2014, allows shipments to clear on the day of arrival, including on weekends and at nighttime. Our competitors don’t offer this 24-hour service.

  • The Formal Import Service offers our customers a direct inbound delivery service for shipments that require formal clearance into Manaus, Curitiba, Porto Alegre, Belo Horizonte, Sao Paulo, Guarulhos, Viracopos and Rio de Janeiro. This means that customs clearance can take place in the states that these cities are located in, which has tax advantages for the importing companies.

  • DHL Express has vast expertise in navigating Brazil’s complex customs and import rules for commercial shipments requiring formal entry.

  • Over 94% of DHL Express shipments arriving in Brazil are cleared on arrival.

  • DHL Express offers faster connections to Brazil from many European and Asian countries than the competition.
