Job-hunting: what you need to know

Hi guys,

Time to have a quick chat.

It has been 6 months now that I've quit my job and that I've taken my time to think about the future and future job opportunities.

Jobhunting is a fulltime occupation. I've been hunting for sales, HR functions all over the place; been invited for job interviews; got proposals. But until now no good news yet.
This morning something happened and I need to share this with you. I had  been invited by a very special person.

We've been in contact since a week or two and from the beginning I had a good feeling with this person.
We talked over the phone. She asked me a number of questions regarding my professional goals, ideal job and current/future situation. After listening carefully she proposed me a vacancy with all the right features and characteristics.

That same day she confirmed me that she was going to introduce me to the HR officer of the recruiting company.
The emails she was sending me were all short and to the point, she kept me well informed on all the moves and concluded her mail with "we keep in touch".
Two days later a new mail. No news yet but she gave me a good insight on what was happening and also the next steps to take.

Four days later she invited me to do some online testing. Again with the right information, no nonsense attitude and all communications accompanied by a huge amount of energy and enthusiasm.

Two days ago I received the results of the testing and an invite to meet each other. She also sent me a number of questions in preparation of our meeting.

Today was the big day, we should meet up for an interview...

Why is this all worth telling you wander?

Well, there were three things so special about this consultant :

1. She was genuinely interested in me and my experience
2. She invested time in preparing this interview/reading my CV and professional goals
3. She is passionate about her job as a senior recruiter, her eyes twinkled

... and she became my buddy. She gave me the best feeling I've had since months. I am sure we are going to get things done!

Keep you posted
